Who are we?
The word Grásta is the Irish for 'grace'. We like to think of it as God's grace upon us all. The first part of the word, 'Grá', is the Irish word for love, which is the foundation upon which all meaningful relationships are built.
Grásta is led by a group of married couples from all over Ireland. We have been delivering these courses for three decades. We were previously based in Esker Monastery in Co. Galway, but when the Redemptorist community there made the difficult decision to close the centre, we found a new home in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre in Castletown, Co. Laois.
Over the years hundreds of couples have taken part in these courses and developed the skills needed to constantly strive to improve their relationships
All of the people involved in Grásta are volunteers. We are here because we believe in the value of marriage and family life and share our experiences in the hope of helping others. Our involvement with couples preparing for marriage, those already married and their families has enriched our lives and experiences immensely and we have gained as much as we have shared over the years. Our marriages, families and relationships are in a much better place as a result.
